2022年酉の市開催！Tori-no-ichi to be held in 2022!

11月にある東京の名物祭り酉の市のシーズンです。
とても奇麗でユニークなお祭りです。浅草や新宿の神社で開催されてて簡単に行けますので是非行ってください。

It is the season of Tokyo’s famous festival Torinoichi in November.
It is a very beautiful and unique festival. It is held at shrines in Asakusa and Shinjuku and is easy to get to, so be must to go.

●酉の市とは？？
酉の市が行われるのは毎年11月の酉の日であり、ここで熊手や招き猫などの縁起物を購入し、1年の無事の報告と翌年の福を願うことになります。
●What is Torinoichi?
The rooster market is held on the day of the rooster in November every year, where people buy lucky charms such as rakes and manekineko cats to report a safe year and wish for good fortune for the following year.

●酉の日？
神道的由来：日本を作ったとされる神様「日本武尊」が亡くなった日
仏教的由来：日本で有名な僧侶が祈っているときに仏が現れた日
大衆的な由来：収穫祭の時期
以上が入り混じって酉の市というイベントが発生しました。

●Day of the Torinoichi?
Shinto origin: The day on which the god “Nippon Buson”, who is believed to have created Japan, died.
Buddhist origin: The day when Buddha appeared to a famous Japanese monk while he was praying.
Popular origin: The time of the harvest festival.
The event called Tori-no-ichi (rooster market) was created by a mixture of the above.

●どうして熊手を買う？
熊手は「運もかき込める道具」「金銀もかき集められる道具」ということで、次第に縁起物としてみなされるようになりました。

●Why buy a rake?
Kumu-te (rake) came to be regarded as a good luck charm because it is a tool to bring luck and to collect gold and silver.
