Vegan ramen ヴィーガンラーメン in Suidobashi, Tokyo

タイトルにあるように今回はヴィーガン対応可能なラーメン屋さんを紹介します。

水道橋駅東口近くにあるZuppa（ズッパ）です。学校からは徒歩3分くらいかな。

This is Yamanaka, the Jimbocho gourmet in charge.

As the title says, this time I would like to introduce a vegan-friendly ramen restaurant.

Zuppa is located near the east exit of Suidobashi station. Maybe about 3-minutes walk from the Kudan Institute.

水道橋・神保町グルメ好きな方はご存知のハンバーグカレーが人気だったハングリー味川。

【　ハングリー味川　】から　→　【　カレーは飲み物。　】　というお店に変わり、現在は

【　つけ麺Zuppa　】に変わっています。

メニューすべてお肉は使っておらず、大豆ミートを使っているそうです。

つけ麺のメニューにはウフマヨという卵を使った料理も一緒に提供されますが、こちらはヴィーガン対応にしてほしいと言えば、

卵はつけないで、ヴィーガン食にしてくれます。

※ウフマヨ　とはフレンチの前菜ゆで卵のことです。

Hungry Ajikawa was popular for its hamburger steak curry, which Suidobashi and Jimbocho gourmet lovers know.

The restaurant has changed from “Hungry Ajikawa” to “Curry is a drink”.　Then, it is now called “Tsukemen Zuppa”.

They do not use meat in all of their menu items and use soy meat.

The Tsukemen menu is also served with an egg-based dish called Oeuf-mayonnaise, but if you ask him to make it vegan, he will make it a vegan meal without the egg.

私はヴィーガンではないので、卵付きのものを頼みますが（ウフマヨ好きです）、こちらのお店にはヴィーガンの方もそうでない方もいらっしゃっているそうです。

ヴィーガンやベジタリアン対応をしている飲食店が日本ではまだまだ少ないので、噂を聞きつけたヴィーガンの外国人観光客の人を中心に店内が賑わっています。

当校の学生もグループで伺っているようでいつもお世話になっております。

ヴィーガンの人はよく使うHappy Cowというヴィーガン情報サイトにお店の情報が載っているそうです。

I am not vegan, so I order the one with eggs (I love oeuf-mayo), but I hear that this restaurant has both vegan and non-vegan customers.

Since there are still very few vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Japan, the restaurant is crowded mainly with vegan foreign tourists who have heard about Zuppa.

Our students also seem to visit the restaurant in groups, and we are always grateful for his hospitality.

The information about the restaurant is on a vegan information website called Happy Cow, which is often used by vegans.

お店に入る前に券売機で食べたいメニューの食券を購入します。

スープは野菜のみ使って作ったスープだそうです。罪悪感なく、最後まで飲めるのがいいですね！

The soup is said to be made from vegetables only. I like that I can drink it all the way through without feeling guilty!

スープの説明が店内に置いてありますが「当店のスープは、肉・魚を一切使用しておりません。非常に濃厚ですが、決して胃もたれすることがなく、野菜オンリーの旨味を凝縮させた、とっても体にいいスープです。ぜひ最後の一滴までご堪能ください。決して後悔はさせません。店主」

わりといつも同じものを頼んでしまうので、全メニュー制覇はしていません。

東京ドームでライブやイベントがあると、その前後は混む場合があるそうですが、午後14時くらいはわりとねらい目です。

水道橋付近のお店に多い、14時でランチ時間終わってしまう問題！！

ランチ難民になる方、Zuppaはお昼休憩とらずに夜まで通し営業されてます！

たまにお休みの日があるので、instagramをチェックするといいですよー！

お店の人はとても気さくなので、日本語や英語でおしゃべりもしてみてね。「九段の学生です！」と言ってみてください。覚えてくれます（笑）

I always order the same thing, so I have not tried all the dishes on the menu.

When there is a live concert or event at the Tokyo Dome, it may be crowded around that time, but around 2:00 p.m. is usually a good time to visit.

The problem is that lunch hours end at 2 pm, which is common in the Suidobashi area!

If you are a lunch refugee, Zuppa is open all through the night without a lunch break!

Sometimes the restaurant is closed, so you should check their instagram!

The chef at Zuppa is very friendly, so try chatting with him either or both in English and Japanese. You can tell “I am a Kudan student”. He will remember you! 😉
